Ok, this is so crazy...It's 3.30am now, ungodly hour and here I am having this huge gigantic urge to go to Argos and get myself a LAVA LAMP!! hahaha, tell me about it, I feel totally crazy!! Dunno what has gotten into me. Maybe it's cos I've always wanted one but then never bought it cos was kinda expensive and then fobbed it off so many times. I think I fell in love with them ever since I saw them here, found them very unique, funky, cool and relaxing! haha....yea, it's like I can stare at the lamp for hours i think!! just seeing the coloured wax float up and down...changing its shape as well, can get me mesmerised! *smiles*
Sigh, I think I am really going mad! Maybe cos the exam stress, caused me to have weird feelings.....urge to get a lava lamp!! I feel sooooo silly saying it out loud. I was very stressed cos of my Trusts and EC is this MOnday!! arrggghhh!!!!! so maybe that's why I've gone bonkers! Either that or cos I saw that the lamp is kinda affordable now. They have a promotion thing at Argos I think for the whole year, they are selling the lava lamp for only 9.99 pounds! So comparatively with other places they sell really cheap! Feel like buying it online now from their catalouge....I fell in love with one of their lava lamp, it's purple/ yellow! What a nice combination of colours! Totally refreshing and some more I love purple!! But there's one more expensive one that's silver crome colour, so the whole thing plus the wax is funky silver in colour!! so totally millenia-ish (is there such a word? Bah, who cares!) But I think i'd rather go for the purple and yellow!! sigh sigh sigh.....wanna go get it NOW!! arrgghh......sigh see me gone mad! *bangs head on wall* I think I better go off to slumberland before I deteriorate further and have to be sent to some mental asylum for lava-lamp lovers!! hehehee.....*laughs*

Ooohhhh.....just read, they are coming up with The Sims 2. I really love to play The Sims.....for those of you who dunno what the hell Sims are....It's a game for us to play God! haha, yea, we get to control their lives, when to go to work, sleep, eat, shit, bathe, socialise and even kiss and propose! Yup, and it's kinda addictive when you already into it. Get to build their house, decorate it, buy stuffs for the house and things like that. Like you are actually living there! I love it cos I like decorating the house and buy lots of stuff for it to make it cosy.
Now they are gonna have The Sims 2 in which they put in DNA for them, so that their kids will be able to inherit same traits and personalities as well as looks from the parents! And some more they are gonna make the graphics even better and more life-like. Hmm, but dunno when it's gonna be out. I hope it's soon! Then I can play!!! hehehehe......*smiling happily like an idiot!* hahahaha.....gone mad! :p

An explanation to an issue I discussed with Aki about....."That men like girls who can be like one of the guys"....Well, this statement was made by a few male friends of mine who I think would not be considered the 'typical average guy' cos as far as I know, most guys or should I say 90% of guys prefer those girly girly type of girls who will sit in the corner, laughing quietly and politely, then smile sweetly and then look away type. Those "wallflower" type who doesn't have much opinions of their own or maybe has opinions but prefer to keep it to themselves....those extremely sweet-looking and demure in character, generally shy and quiet, doing more of listening then the talking. Then there are the other categories of gals, who are very obviously identifiable by other female species to be "bitches".....these girls think they are pretty when they are in fact merely average or worse, plain ugly! But they strut around like vain peacocks in their thick layers of makeup and what-nots, wearing revealing and skimpy outfits most of the time, thinking they are the prettiest gals on earth. The average guy who are not 'blind' and have a little sense of taste will be able to identify these category of gals and stay away from them in disgust. But then most other average guys, blinded by the illusion conjured by the 'pretty' gals will most probably find them irresistible and fall for them.
So, that leaves the sensible, practical girls, equated to the average Joe....but no-no, they are not plain Janes, as they have their own unique qualities and skills which would not be as obvious, but you need to get to know them before you can see them. These qualities which actually last and are more important than physical appearance. Some of these gals are ACTUALLY pretty, although they may not seem so to most guys (maybe cos they don't flash their beauty? maybe no makeup? no pieces of cloth stuck to them in strategic places or skimpy short skirts to catch males' attention?). Yea, they may be something like Betty Cooper in the Archie comics. She, unlike the flashy, rich Veronica has merely her natural beauty, intelligence and social skills to flaunt. She can hang out with the guys easily without fearing that her nails may break, makeup will smear, mascara will run, hair will go out of place. She is like "one of the guys". But she is smart, knowledgable, fun to be with, naturally pretty and out-going. But the main problem nowadays is that most guys don't fall for this type of girls!! WHY??!! Nobody knows why actually.....you would have to ask the male species for the answer. Not to say that these girls don't get boyfriends or marry, but maybe they may take a longer time to attract guys in a romantic sense or get someone to truly fall in love with her and not merely treat her as a friend. They may not be the popular girls in the class nor those who will get chosen for the cheerleading squad....but they are actually the ones with all the admirable qualities guys should seek for in a girl.
One male friend told me that generally, deep-down, guys like these girls....one who can be natural and can hang out and be one of the boys. I don't know how far that is true cos from my experience, the typical male will not be going after these girls but will probably be flocking over the not-so-pretty-but-slutty girls or those wallflowers as described earlier. So, I don't know why my friend said that, it could be that he is one of the very few guys who appreciates these girls and admire the girls as they should be admired. And so far in my uni life, I have met a few guys who's like that and had been frank with me that they actually like these girls cos they are fun, outgoing, can be one of the guys etc. etc. And this is not only for friendship, but more than that...as girlfriend material actually.
Generally I think that this issue is highly debatable and uncertain....hehe, if I were to have a conference calling a few girls eg. Aki, Shen, Jo, Lin....etc. etc......I think the meeting can go on forever!! It's unresolvable, but I hope that there will be more guys out there who can come to their senses and appreciate the natural beauties they have around them. They may not be the rose that stands out and catches your attention but wilts in 2 days but are the beautiful orchids who can withstand the elements of nature and stand strong, upright and beautiful for a very long time. They actually last! Equally, the girls like orchids can be strong and practical in real crisis and be able to stand by her man, through storms and winds and come out of them with a beautiful face and confident smile.

Okay...Aki is in her male-bashing-hating mode now....she hates ALL men, except totchi....hmm, wonder how long her male-hating phase will go on for? She said she even hates Joo...her best friend! That's really weird cos she told me he's nice and all, and she lurves him (not a romantic way la...as good buddies). So, dunno what's up her brains now....hehe, probably tort and EC law!! hehehe.....well everyone is gonna be driven mad with exams....Even I will also go mad if this exam is not over soon. Am just thinking about how I'm gonna celebrate after exams, relax, have fun and just bum around with no obligations to touch my Trusts books ever again!!!
Also looking forward to summer, as the weather will be warmer and sunnier. Now itself it's kinda cold for late spring. Most of my floormates are back now after the Easter holidays. *sigh* Wish some of them weren't back!!....the floor was kinda nice and quiet, with only a few of us foreigners living here plus one nice gal from Bristol (Vic). The other mat sallehs aren't exactly very friendly with us and so we are not as chummy with them as we are with Vic. Now more ppl using kitchen and toilets etc. etc. and more noise too with their occassionaly chatterings along the corridor, which ppl in their rooms can hear so very clearly!
Me, unlike Aki , do not hate ALL men, just dislike some of them only, those liars, pretenders, selfish, egoistical and ungentlemanly ones....I believe not every guy is as bad as Aki thinks they are. There are good guys out there (ok, although I shld admit very few)....only that they are nowhere near us!! (well, not in a romantic way at least!) Hopefully they will come to us very soon, rite, Aki? Then we'll be truly blessed and have a great time showered with true love. *waiting for that time to come*.

Today, saw someone's significant other....was kinda surprised and shocked cos didn't expect to see him. But anyway, I guessed it was him and then later got confirmation that my guess was true! hehehe....been waiting for quite a while in anticipation and curiosity. Well, am happy for her that she finally got someone now. =) Most important thing is that he treats her well.
Read in newspaper that some girl is having a fun time strangling and stepping on Prince William!! *hmmpphh* Who is she to do that?! hehehe.....well, this gal is a friend of Prince William and she was playing around, giving his a massage using her foot, stepping on him when they were watching rubgy. Playful banter and fun.....Am not jealous, hehe, but actually feel happy for him! haha, just that too bad photos were taken of them and invaded his privacy. The poor guy can't even enjoy himself properly without nosy journalists eyeing on him all the time. If that happened to me, for a while I might enjoy it....but if it goes on for the rest of my life (like him) I think I can get really frustrated and annoyed. No life! Apparently he is a ladies guy...popular among the gals and treats them nice. Well, whether he fancies them or not, it's ok....as long as he behaves like a gentleman. And so far, there's nothing he's done which is ungentlemanly or naughty. hehehe *laughs* so I am happy that I chose a nice, well-mannered Royal to admire from far! =) Good-looking, rich, royal, educated, athletic, tall, charming and has a lovely 'killer' smile.....enough to kill many girls! hahaha
Seems like he has a close gal friend who shares his interests and is his confidante. She's quite pretty as well. Hope he finds her company good and fun and also maybe they might get on together! I just hope that he finds happiness with her if they happen to be a couple. It's good that he's got a girl who can give him emotional support, concern and listening ear, someone who understands him...esp. after his mom's death. He needs a good girl to be beside him.
Plus, today he said that he might go to USA for afew years after he graduates....he wants to do some postgraduate course and also that he will get a more free and easy lifestyle there, away from the Royal spotlight. He might even work in some auction house or a gallery, in view of his love of art. Well, I think that is a good idea...study a few more years and also maybe gain some working experience. By doing that he will be the first Royal heir not to join the army or navy, unlike his dad and uncles. And then his birthday is coming: June 21st and he will turn 21, just like me! =) But after that he might not get so much protection from journalists and photographers because he is protected from invasion to his privacy until he turns 21, maybe also until he gradutes in 2005.
Anyway, need to take my shower now...then later return to my revision.
P/s: As you might already notice by now....Aki has left her trail of "destruction" in my tagboard!! hahaha.......trail of bad words hehehe.....tsk tsk tsk, Aki! =P
